The TurnCheck shaft measuring machines include the following standard features
Measuring Unit
Aluminum base plate with four adjustable vibration damping, leveling feet.
Precision rotary spindle with load capacity of 20 kg for 6 series and 80 kg load capacity for 10 series models.
DC Servo motor with 28:1 ratio belt drive providing 60 rpm, with 0.001 degree resolution and ±5 arc seconds positional accuracy.
Continuous rotary motion between adjacent scans for maximum throughput.
Linear vertical drive with 0.1 μm resolution scale and vertical scan speeds of up to 110 mm/sec.
The optical assembly is supported by four custom recirculating bearing assemblies riding on hardened steel rods set in an extruded aluminum backbone
QVI exclusive distributed motion control system for servo rotary motion and linear motion.

Tailstock System
Adjustable upper tailstock accommodates shafts of different lengths.
Designed for one-handed operation and facilitated by a counterweight for easy movement.
Upper tailstock position encoder automatically sets scan length to match part size.
Standard center kit including one (1) live center and one dead center each with Morse #2 taper

Optical System
Optics assembled in two parts, surrounding the workpiece in a rigid U-shaped assembly mounted on a precision linear motion system that travels vertically to scan the workpiece.
Telecentric, distortion-corrected receiving optics with high resolution linescan metrology camera.
Illumination optics with high intensity green LED array providing constant wavelength and high efficiency collimator.
High intensity green LED profile illumination has a constant wavelength and is matched chromatically to the optical system to eliminate optical aberrations.

Controller and Software
Dedicated Windows® based system controller.
QVI TurnCheck Software combines complex image processing power with a user-friendly interface.
One button operation executes vertical scan, rotational orientation, edge detection, and feature measurement
