Nikon Stereo Microscopes SMZ1500
With a zoom ratio of 15:1 a zoom range of 0.75X to 11.25X and the convenience of clickstops at 1X intervals from 1X to 11X observation becomes easier than ever. Magnifications of 3.75X to 540X can be obtained depending on the combination of objective lenses and eyepieces. High Resolution (HR) Optics - The optical system of the SMZ-1500 produces images of the finest optical quality. Chromatic aberration and distortion have been virtually eliminated. HR lenses have high numerical apertures and resolving power. With all the HR lenses images are crisp and clear and display optimum contrast with a minimum of flare over the entire field of view. Versatility - With a diverse selection of body tubes stands lighting techniques and Nikon's world-renowned optics this modular microscope can be configured to fit nearly any application. Three Binocular Eyepiece Tubes - The SMZ-1500 features a standard binocular eyepiece tube with a 20 degree angle of inclination allowing observation without leaning forward and straining the neck and shoulders. The low-eye level binocular tube allows a comfortable posture when using an intermediate component or a diascopic stand. The dual tilting binocular tube both tilts and the eyetubes swing up. From the highest position to the lowest position the adjustment range is 157mm or 6.2". Illumination - An Epi-Fluorescence attachment allows easy observation of living cells under fluorescence methods such as GFP. A Coaxial Episcopic Illuminator using a 12V/150W Fiber Optic Light Source offers bright illumination over the entire surface of the sample. Exclusive OCC (Oblique Coherent Contrast) lighting permits observation of samples with extremely low contrast in high relief. Phase differences can be observed to 1/30 of a wavelength of light. Stands - A plain stand for reflected light and three diascopic stands for transmitted light are available including an enhanced diascopic stand featuring the OCC (Oblique Coherent Contrast) lighting technique. Photographic Capability - A beam splitter makes the SMZ1500 compatible with a variety of photographic systems: 35mm Polaroid or digital still pictures as well as analog or digital video systems.
